Physical pain is just one way you may be hurting. When you can’t pick things off the floor, pick up your kids, drive, or sit to watch a game or movie, this can hurt your self-esteem both mentally and emotionally.
Our mission is to help you get back to being active, flexible so you can be there for your family, work and friends.
YOUR TREATMENT
Everyone is different and require a unique program for maximum results. That’s why we believe everyone should have a customized treatment plan tailored to them.
Evaluating your specific condition is where we start.
Custom treatment plans may include a combination of, but not limited to, the following treatments listed below.
AN EXERCISE PROGRAM OF YOU VERY OWN
Attention and care is given to make sure that your needs are accounted for. Your therapist will help you come up with your custom program. This ranges from simply walking down the sidewalk, to even playing sports. We all have different needs, so we make sure that yours are met.
JOINT MOBILIZATION
To relieve tension of muscles and fascia of the body, improving fascial mobility, hands-on soft tissue therapy is used. Joint mobilization improves the mobility of the joint to move more fluidly within its own space to improve motion and reduce pain. This release aids in the restoration of movement to a joint and its surrounding tissue by stimulating the movement receptors of the body in order reduce the pain receptors from firing.
POSTURE EVALUATION AND ALIGNMENT
It is well known that, posture is everything. It is your nervous system’s outward expression. To check how your habits outside of the clinic are contributing to your progression, we evaluate your posture each time you come in.
TAPING AND MODALITIES
To assist you in completing your program, ultrasound and electrical stimulation are used, when needed. Kineseo-Tex Taping and ACE techniques are also sometimes used to provide stabilization to a joint, increase firing of an under active muscle and to reduce edema, or even inhibit an overactive muscle.
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES
We know that specific and progressive exercises improve the mobility, and stability of the muscles and joints. As you progress in your function, your program should follow suit. Once discharged, you will be given a progressive home program so you can continue to make further gains and/or maintain what you’ve achieved.
